This Week

Hopefully everyone is enjoying the no homework week. (I know I am.) We completed two parts of the ISTEP test today. Students are doing a wonderful job taking their time. We'll continue with the remaining parts of the test over the next 5 days. We enjoyed our science lesson outside today. What a great day to learn about clouds. Can your child tell you the 3 main types of clouds?

October PLC Essential Skills

Eng/LA 4.3.6 Determine the theme.
Eng/LA 4.3.3 Use knowledge of the situation, setting, and a character’s traits, motivations, and feelings to determine the causes for that character’s actions.
Eng/LA 4.3.2 Identify the main events of the plot, including their causes and the effects of each event on future actions, and the major theme from the story action.
Eng/LA 4.2.9 Recognize main ideas and supporting details presented in expository (informational texts).
Math 4.3.1 Use letters, boxes, or other symbols to represent any number in simple expressions, equations, or inequalities (i.e., demonstrate an understanding of and the use of the concept
Math 4.5.10 Determine the amount of change from a purchase.
